Initial Consultation and Sports Massage

During your first appointment, your lifestyle will be discussed to see how it impacts on your body and its muscular function.
This is followed by a postural assessment where any imbalances will be discussed and applicable exercises/stretches shall be given. You will be asked to wear/bring shorts for this.
The sports massage treatment shall be explained and included in the appointment.

Subsequent Sports Massage Treatments

Sports massage helps to reduce muscular tension, pain and tightness. If you are injured, please wait 72hrs before attending an appointment as your body needs this time to start the healing process.
Maintenance massage is usually done on a regular basis to promote blood flow, improve range of movement, aid sleep & relaxation, reduce risk of injury and reduce discomfort which improves overall wellbeing.
Feedback is communicated throughout to ensure that you get the most out of your treatment.

Dry Cupping

Unlike deep tissue massage, which applies a positive pressure to stimulate the muscle fibres, cupping applies a negative pressure which pulls the skin and tissues upward promoting blood flow.

The blood rushes into the tight areas of muscle, supplying oxygen-rich supply and nutrients to the area.  The vacuum formed by the suction not only brings blood but also lifts and separates scar tissue and adhesions to the muscles, fascia, and other connective tissue. Pre-Event Massage

When a muscular injury occurs, taping and strapping is applied to provide support. This prevents unnecessary overuse and tenderness during the healing period.
Some common injuries which benefit are Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, wrist sprains and shoulder injuries.
